The Future Is Now

It’s hard to understand that the future isn’t this far off time in space that most people think it is. I’ve written about this before but I want to reiterate.

The future is NOW.

We live in an age where the balance of power is beginning to shift. For the first time we can be completely connected to those who live a world away. We can get our information from those who are on the front lines instead of secondary news sources.

Thinkers are taking over.

Kids can change the world simply by using a computer in their parent’s basement. There are no longer any barriers preventing us from implementing solutions to common problems.

The most recent of these comes in the form of Bitcoin. If you haven’t heard of Bitcoin yet you can bet you will soon. By creating a system that works for the common good, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies, have made it possible for individuals to send each other a form of payment without an intermediary.

This means that no matter where you are in the world you can send another person money, in seconds, without paying a processing fee. It means that as time progresses people in countries with less purchasing power will soon be able to afford the things they once couldn’t.

Our world is quickly changing and if you aren’t paying attention to the people and ideas on the fringes you won’t remain ahead of the curve. Our systems are broken and it’s time for a change.
